Giving Back: Trumpp Tree Service Donates $5,000 to Holly Fire Department for Water Rescue Gear
At Trumpp Tree Service, we believe in supporting the people who protect our community. That’s why Nick Iliades, better known as Nick the Tree Guy, recently donated $5,000 to the Holly Fire Department to help purchase new water rescue equipment.
The donation has already been put to use, funding four new dry suits and personal flotation devices to enhance the department’s water rescue capabilities. These high-performance suits are critical for keeping responders safe during swift water and cold-weather rescues, especially in a region prone to unpredictable storms and flooding.
“Water rescues are some of the most dangerous calls we respond to,” said Holly Fire Chief Jeremy Watson. “Having the right gear can mean the difference between life and death, for both victims and our responders. We’re incredibly grateful to Nick for his support.”
For Nick the Tree Guy, the donation was personal. A Holly resident who shares a gym with members of the department, he saw an opportunity to give back and didn’t hesitate.
“These men and women risk their lives for us every day,” he said. “If I can help them stay safe and do their jobs, I’m all in.”
Nick also shared that his motivation comes from faith and gratitude.
“I’m really blessed in my life, and I came a long way and God has really helped me. I feel like that’s my way to give back. I want to help others have a good life in any way I can.”
The Holly Fire Department continues to work closely with local businesses and community members to strengthen public safety. Trumpp Tree Service is proud to be part of that mission.
